Character entities used in HTML


Character entities :

User can not directly display HTML tag ("<") or other special symbols which have specific meaning in HTML on the web page or document. HTML provide such facility by using special keywords called character entity.
Character entity starts with ampersand, followed by the name & ends with semicolon.
These special characters are displayed with the help of these character entity or thier entity numbers.
The most used character entities are:
